NOW - It's time AGAIN for Jim Smith's PENGUINS live music at Morello's in
Harrisburg. Outdoor sessions on Morello's PATIO are set to begin as high water & Spring weather in Southern IL allow.
Plans are to continue with
LIVE musical variety. Check this blog site for upcoming plans and schedule. If you
plan to eat, or want to be assured of a table, reservations are suggested (pretty much a
necessity.)
BUT SOMETIMES THEY APPARENTLY WILL MAKE NO RESERVATIONS. OFTEN - IT IS FIRST COME,
FIRST SERVED AND SEATED. Call
Mo's at 618/252-2300. ASK FOR AND TALK TO JEFF OR LES
TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Check this blog or call Mo's for
questions. Music will start
usually around 5:00 pm.
Emphasis will be
on live music (mostly instrumental): jazz, blues, classics, Americana, roots,
standards, R&B, pop, contemporary, folk, Great American
Songbook, more. Smith will often host musical guests. To get an
idea of what to expect look at posts below of prior years schedules.
The price is right - FREE (TIPS for the musicians are accepted and APPRECIATED); the food and drink - not free,
but VERY GOOD. Check it out.
Great scene for special events, like
birthdays or retirements. Uptown on Poplar Street, East of the Courthouse, in Harrisburg, Illinois.
