SOON - It's time AGAIN for Smith's PENGUINS live music at Morello's in
Harrisburg. Outdoor sessions on Morello's PATIO are set to begin if Spring weather allows.
Plans are to continue with
LIVE musical variety. Check this blog site for upcoming plans and schedule. If you
plan to eat, or want to be assured of a table, reservations are suggested (pretty much a
necessity.)
BUT SOMETIMES THEY APPARENTLY WILL MAKE NO RESERVATIONS. OFTEN - FIRST COME,
FIRST SERVED AND SEATED. Call
Mo's at 618/252-2300. ASK FOR AND TALK TO DAVID DENNISON OR JEFF OR LES
TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Check this blog or call Mo's for
questions. Music will start
usually around 5:00 pm.
Emphasis will be
on live music (mostly instrumental): blues, classics, Americana, roots,
standards, jazz, R&B, pop, contemporary, folk, Great American
Songbook, more. Smith will typically host musical guests. To get an
idea of what to expect look at posts below of prior years schedules.
The price is right - FREE (TIPS are accepted and APPRECIATED); the food and drink - not free,
but VERY GOOD. Check it out.
Great scene for special events, like

February 8 - greg hodson returns on alto. plus - student sax player allison dennison joins the penguins. check her out.
February 15 - penguins on vacation - no live music on wednesday nights til PATIO season.
April 12 - the PATIO season begins. penguins deluxe.
April 19 - weather is cooperating. penguins in full force. reservations suggested.
April 26 - JAZZ APPRECIATION MONTH! join the penguins to JAM & celebrate. expected return of greg "hod" hodson on sax. plus penguins.
May 3 - penguins. hod on sax. keith on trumpet/flugel. smith on keys/vibes.
May 10 - guest cody sandusky assumes the piano chair. smith on bass. other penguins join in. was very nice.
May 17 - smith on keys joined by some penguins.
May 24 - smith & penguins.
May 31 - smith & penguins.
June 7 - penguins - keith is back on trumpet/flugel.
June 14 - pat abell (taxi) joins smith. singin & playin. reservations suggested. was a fun time - full and runnin over. stay tuned for return engagement...
